The food pantry needs: tuna, canned fruit, and baked beans.
The youth group will be working in the Jarrettsville youth garden this evening, weather permitting. Please wear work clothes and bring work clothes and/or garden tools (marked with your name) if you have them.
Saturday, May 7, is a busy day for the youth group. From 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. we will be helping with the Jarrettsville UMC spring fair. Then we will continue with our overnight lock-in, also at Jarrettsville UMC. If you cannot help with the fair, please come to the lock-in anyway. We’ll begin with dinner around 5:30. Talk to Pastor Mark if you have questions.
May 15 is Pentecost, and during the service we will be reading from Acts 2 in a similar way to how we read the Passion reading on Palm Sunday. If you would like to be a reader for Pentecost, please talk to Pastor Mark and plan to stay after worship on May 8 to rehearse. Men and women are needed!
When you come to our worship service this Sunday, please fill out a pew card to place in the offering plate during the service. Cards are marked “Guest” (green), “Friend” (pink), and “Member” (white); select the card that best describes your relationship to the congregation of Centre UMC. On the back of the cards there is space for you to submit a prayer request. There are also yellow “Prayer Request” cards should you wish to submit an anonymous prayer request.
