Ash Wednesday is February 18. There will be several opportunities that day to start the Lenten season with worship and reflection. At 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon there will be a short worship service with the imposition of ashes. These services are offered especially for those who might commute to work or be unable to attend an evening service. At 7:00 p.m. there will be a service of imposition of ashes and Holy Communion. Please mark your calendars now and invite others in the community to mark Lent with us.
Also during Lent, starting February 25, there will be an evening time of worship and study each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Mark will lead us through NT Wright’s Christians at The Cross. Books are available now from Pastor Mark, $5-10 apiece. Pay what you are able to afford.
Hands On is the Baltimore Region’s 2015 Leadership Day. On February 28 classes will be offered from 9-4 at the ConneXions School in Baltimore. A $35 registration fee includes the classes, a light breakfast, and lunch. Talk to Pastor Mark, or find out more by following this link. Bishop Marcus Matthews is asking all United Methodists to set aside $1/day (=$40) for local missions this Lent. This money will stay with Centre and be used for mission and outreach in our community. Please take this opportunity to support local missions and mark you offering “Bishop’s Lenten Challenge.”

The Baltimore Region is also offering numerous opportunities for Christian development in its School of Christian Growth.
