Please be sure you are checking our webpage (https://centreumc.org) regularly for updates to the church calendar. There’s even a copy of the sermon that would have been preached on Sunday (text only)!

Although we had to cancel worship and Sunday School on 1/18, Centre’s expenses did not take a week off. As you are able, please bring your contribution from 1/18 as well as your contribution for 1/25 to this week’s worship service. If you are unable to attend a service, you may always mail your contribution to Centre UMC, 2409 Rocks Rd, Forest Hill MD 21050.

We are hoping to update the church directory soon. Look for note cards and a box in the gathering space after church to submit your information or updates.

This week is the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Please spend time during this week praying for the unity of the body of Christ. More information can be found here (http://www.oikoumene.org/en/resources/week-of-prayer/) .

This Sunday, January 25, is a special service of Covenant Renewal. The Covenant Renewal service is a Methodist tradition that goes back to John Wesley. It is an opportunity to dedicate yourself to Jesus Christ for the upcoming year. During the service, you will be asked to commit yourself to following Christ without conditions or strings attached. This is not a commitment to make lightly, so you are invited to spend some time this week in prayer and devotion preparing for next Sunday’s service. Please make every effort to be present for this service and to join with your brothers and sisters at Centre as we renew our discipleship calling.

All money given to the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund this Sunday will go toward The United Methodist Church’s Human Relations Day efforts. Information about this special Sunday was sent out in last week’s e-news.

Information about summer camp opportunities offered by The United Methodist Church can be found on the display in the sanctuary vestibule.

The Food Pantry needs spaghetti sauce and spaghetti this week.
